Scratch Kitchen
- a recipe for disaster
a three day experimental collaborative kitchen-diner at the Spyglass
Restaurant, Bristol.
Starting from scratch, artist and
would-be chef Dominic Thomas created a unique restaurant/kitchen environment
in the Spyglass restaurant awning which explored and exploded the
myths and realities of food, cooking and eating. In collaboration
with Bristol's Byzantium & Glassboat restaurants head chef Vincent
Castellano and the general public Scratch Kitchen was a three
day multi media work in progress which questioned what we eat, where
and with whom. The Kitchen mixed recipes from around the world and
around the corner with forgotten histories, bad science and improvised
performance in a collaborative event beyond classification.
