1.1 I, the undersign, understand that this RMRI field trip is part of an ongoing art work developed by the artist Dominic Thomas. I understand that in this work the process of its development is as important as any product which may or may not arise from this process. I understand that the ‘work’ resides in the interaction between artist, audience, location and subject. 1.2 I understand that as a participant in this event my presence is a vital part of both the production and reception of this work and I am happy to be responsible for my own interpretations and/or judgements in relation to the success or otherwise of the work. I also understand that I am not obliged to participate in any activities, ideas or discussions that may arise during or after the event. 2.1 I understand that this event will take place in the real world, that out comes are unpredictable and any results inferred by or relating to the publicised description of the event can not be guaranteed. Likewise I understand that failure, real or perceived, is a possible outcome in any process. 2.2 I understand that the operations of chance and unpredictability are integral to all spheres of natural and human activity and by embracing the concept of indeterminacy I can lead a rich and fulfilling existence. 3.1 I understand that by participating in this event I will be walking in the Dorset coastal landscape and that I may encounter uneven or slippery surfaces, high cliffs, deep water and hard objects. And, although I make every effort to keep myself and my loved ones safe from harm, I know I can not insure against every eventuality. 3.2 I understand that by participating in this work I may come into contact with fungi and other natural or man made materials which may carry the potential of serious personal harm. I realise that I am free to choose whether or not to interact with any materials or situations arising from this event. I know the world is a dangerous place and I am happy to be responsible for my own actions. 4.1 It would therefore be impossible for me hold the artist or organisers of the RMRI responsible for any loss or damage that may occur whilst engaging in any activities during this event.
